NaviParking was created in 2015 with a mission to support interconnected, sustainable mobility. Their passion for technology drives them to provide innovative smart mobility solutions that address the current and future challenges of transport. Aleksander Zajchowski, Engineering Team Lead / Cloud Architect presented us his perspective about working in this startup.
Aleksander Zajchowski: We are, primarily, a company that focuses on not compromising during each stay at a parking lot. How many times have you looked for a ticket office to pay for your parking ticket? Probably a lot. The interesting thing is that it usually happens when you should already be in a completely different place. I’ve been there. What if you were to erase all these situations and just leave the parking lot without unnecessary formalities? That’s why we create our solutions.
What exactly do you do? What do you like best about your job?
AZ: My responsibility is to provide seamless and convenient parking. It does not matter whether it requires the creation of a new architecture or the exploration of a new concept. Simplicity is at the forefront of my mind.
What is it like to work in a startup?
AZ: I think the word trouble-free describes it best. It doesn’t matter if you are a programmer, analyst, Product Owner or you are in the S-Team. The important thing is that every one of these people respects each other and wants to ensure that time at work is not wasted time.
Why should someone decide to join your company?
AZ: During each recruitment process, each candidate wonders what they want to do. For some, the main reason for the change will be the technologies with which they will be able to work. For others, it is the benefits that the company provides. There will also be those who want to do something other than the main market trend. We are such a company. We provide valuable solutions that can be implemented in all conditions. Every single employee has a real influence on the direction in which we are going. That is something we cannot expect from every company.
What kind of candidates are you currently looking for on inhire.io?
AZ: We are looking for innovative, open-minded people who think outside the box. Imagine you have a good idea. How will you make it come true? With us, it is not that difficult. We focus on straightforward thinking. All you need is an open mind and the willingness to do something big 🙂
Tell us about your favorite project that you’ve worked on.
AZ: Each project is something new and unique, but my favorite project that will never end is building a Cloud environment that ensures the simplicity and stability of our services.
If you were to give one piece of advice to IT rookies when it comes to development and careers, it would be…?
AZ: Be patient. Anyone who is early in their career expects big results. This is completely natural behavior. Remember, however, that we learn the most by making mistakes. The more mistakes you make early in your career, the more often you will be proud of yourself later on in your career.
