Duco provides innovative technology that empowers end users to consolidate, standardise and reconcile any type of data in the cloud. In the interview with Katarzyna Łągiewka – Product Owner you will get to know more about her role and working at Duco.
You joined Duco over a year and a half ago, and you are now in the position of a Product Owner. What do you like the most about your role?
I love the fact that I get to work with two sides to achieve mutual goals – The product team and the Developers. Their views might be different sometimes and I like that I can help out to agree on a common ground. Moreover, I have an actual impact on the strategy of the product but I also stay close to the technical part of the solution. Working closely with clients is also a great perk – it can be challenging but seeing the outcome of our conversations is very satisfactory.
Why is Duco’s culture different from the corporate environment?
The openness and transparency in everything that the company does! Everyone is calling out what they are seeing and there are no corporate games. You always know what to expect 🙂
What does your daily routine look like as a Product Owner?
There is very little routine in my daily work 🙂 I do have stand-ups with other POs, Product, and teams I’m looking after. Other than that it depends on what is currently on the table. It can be anything, i.e client-related, project-related, strategy-related. I’m doing a bit of everything so I never have the time to get bored!
What do you like the most about working at Duco?
People, people, and once again people! We have an amazing community of individuals and working with them is a pleasure. Starting from the teams I’m looking after, all the way through the product, sales, and CSM teams.
Moreover, I honestly believe in the product we are selling which makes my work much easier. It is a nice change from working for corporations – when you believe in your product, your work brings way more joy.
